coming soon

here it is, the exclusive first look at the One Ghost Industries Katana L.S.

Because of he issue with my G4, I can't upload this image to the web site but I can post it here.
the censored bar will come off soon enough. but basically, this bike, polished with a reflex blue head tube and part of the top tube, laser etched graphics, one piece rear triangle, Moto*GP link system, 240mm travel, low standover and center of gravity, World Cup winning geometry, roost sheltered shock...
the final bike will look about 95% of what this image shows. There are a few details not shown here, like some gusetts, some machine relief work, paint and anodize, but overall.
Yeah.

AAAAAHHH!!!!

My Mac G4 tower blew up!!!
this is a very, very sad day. I think it is just the power supply but I can't tell yet. Lucky all important things were backed up on redundant, external drives I can run of my laptop or we'd be hosed. I need to get the tower fixed and get some blank DVD's and make disc back ups now but it may be a while. It is an older G4 dual tower, a "Quicksilver," so geting the parts may be a it hard (or e-bay may hold the answer!)
man, someone make it stop raining! it's almost June for crying out loud! I don't think I have seen the sun in 2 weeks!
uh well. someone get me a new G5 Mac Pro! I'll be your best friend AND get you a free Katana L.S. when they come in.

On a brighter note...
Hopworks wins Gold for Hopworks IPA and Silver for HUB Lager at 2008 World Beer Cup in San Diego. “This is a great honor especially as a start-up brewery. Besting Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus in a category they invented is unbelievable” says Christian (brew master/owner).
Makes me thirsty!

Also, ladies and gentlemen...Sam Hill

Pantone Reflex Blue Coated

HUH? some may say.
Well, we have an "official" color. After much deliberation on what to do, we went back to our original color options which were "any color naturally appearing on Ghost (our dog)." Well, Ghost is a Blue Heeler, but he is also a Red Heeler (he is pretty much all kinds of colors) and the "blue" is in reality a white/gray/black speckle coloring like most Aussie heeler dogs. This made it hard to pick a real, tangible color, especially a universal Pantone color to take to powder coaters and the like.
Check the top tube for the Katana L.S. to see what I am yacking about..

Pretty eh? Metallic candy reflex blue. Yeah. our official color. oh yeah, that top tube is bent to increase our standover. full specs are on the web site.
Speaking of which...
We have a new web page too. check it out! lots and lots of information on it, faster downloads , RSS feeds, videos, music, photos. and of course, our bikes! Viva PMS Reflex Blue C!

This is just a PROPOSED jacket. I want to get feedback first. they will probably retail for about $50 USD and be made out of Tyvek, thus water and wind proof and very packable.
let me know your thought.

Mark Arthur Reynolds Memorial Fund and Race Event

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Los Angeles, CA — A fund raiser is being held in conjunction with the CCCX Downhill Race Series starting this Saturday, May 3rd in honor of Mark A. Reynolds who died on Saturday, April 19, 2008.

Mark’s death was a result of the crash he had while competing in the Downhill race during the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, CA. Mark, who was just 48 years old, was the owner of Wicked Racin and innovator of the Dualrailluer Guide for which is in the process of being patented as the first dual chain ring guide. Mark was an avid mountain biker who raced competitively and he also enjoyed the action sports scene including snowboarding, wake boarding and even piloting airplanes. He was also a friend to many as well as a mentor to those looking to improve their skills.

After hearing the news on Saturday, members of the Evomo Mountain Bike Team stepped forward to contact fellow industry companies in order to organize a memorial fund raiser in Mark’s name. “I feel it’s the right thing to do and I really feel for the family who had to hear such terrible news”, said Tom Judy, Evomo Downhill Team Member. Everyone on the Evomo team instantly said they would be happy to make a collective Team donation to help. Within a few days, Fox Racing was ready to ship out some product donations and Keith DeFiebre, CCCX race organizer, offered his event location as a place to hold the fund raiser. “It was pretty awesome to get such instant support”, said Tom Judy.

Mark’s family hopes to contribute to a freeride or jump park that will be named after Mark so that people of all levels can enjoy the sport of mountain biking and can feel encouraged and supported, just as Mark made all of us feel.

Fox Racing Shox, Evomo, X-Fusion, Pactimo, Stan’s No Tubes, Cool Cycling Club, Calabazas Cyclery, Trailhead Cyclery, and Auburn Bike Works have already stepped up to donate cash or product for the fund raising raffle that will be held at the CCCX DH Race Series finale on Sunday, June 22. Memorial T-shirts and raffle tickets will be for sale at this weekends event in which all proceeds will go to the fund in honor of Mark. “By having a huge raffle at our series finale in June we are able to maximize the cash we can raise by selling tickets at the next 5 races”, said Keith DeFiebre, CCCX Race organizer.

This weekend’s event will be held at Toro Park in California, located between Salinas and Monterey off of Hwy 68 just minutes from Laguna Seca Raceway. Registration for racing opens at 8am.

Donation information, please visit www.wickedracin.com where you can make a cash donation in his Mark’s name via PayPal.
