One Ghost Industries aquired by Yeti Cycles in hostile takeover

March 31/2009 Two of Yeti Cycles Executives walked into the One Ghost Industries/Lunchbox Labs office in Portland Oregon at the same time as one walked into the Lunchbox Labs that OG owns in east Boulder, CO (operated by Moto G.P.) where they each proceeded to "aquire" every aspect of design, creation, and prototyping done by One Ghost Industries, LLC.
Yeti was also sighted leaving the scene holding one of the new Tanto hard tail frames and was quoted as saying "Bad Ass" or "baarrrreeee aarrsssee" or some other noise as it grabbed the new hard tail frame and stuck it between it's legs and pretended to ride it away.
The guys at OG are still in absolute AWE as they never thought theat a Yeti could actually RIDE a bike let alone felt threatened enough to come and take all of their bikes and ability to produce more.
In light of this whole situation, One Ghost Industries will be forced to pull the plug on Lunchbox Labs and on any possible production of their bikes. The guys are all taking this really hard and were quoted as saying "it'll be much harder to rebuild the company, especially without our keg-data aquizition equipment, our kegerator and tap, our wall mounted bottle opener/time clock, Ghost's dog bones..." as as GP and Tank chimed in here.."and OUR BIKES! Those hairy ba$%ARds took our bikes! We can't even ride to the pub now!"
All in all, the guys are looking up in the face of losing everything..
"Good news is we have proof that Yeti's are real and they DO like bikes so that's cool" Maybe I can sell the photo back to Yeti and make some money. After all, I could use a job now!"

What I am thankful for

There are many things I am thankful for. Mostly the love of my life, Stephanie. Without her I would more than likely not be here as she give me meaning and love. I am most definitely thankful for my boy Ghost without him we would not have One Ghost Industries. For it is Ghost who makes me want to be a better human and the person he thinks I am. I am thankful for finding our other little joy Freida. the silly lab/pit/heeler mix we found living under a car in the back roads of Pecos, NM one day. She has turned out to be one of the most awesome, wonderful additions and a very dear friend to all of us.
I am thankful for all of you and all of my friends I have known and will yet meet, for those we have lost and are watching over us and the wonderful, unexplainable thing called life. My world is full of blessings and I can go on about material things like having a roof over my head, food in my belly and clean drinking water and no one running up on me in the afternoon with an AK-47. I don't live in Somalia or Tibet or Serbia. I don't need to watch over my shoulder and can freely life my life within moral law and for that I am thankful as well.
My life growing up was not the easiest but to put it in perspective for myself, even though I have been homeless and have had my @$$ handed to me a few times on the streets as a child but I made it this far with lots of help from teachers, family and friends and for them, I am deply thankful

Without all of them, we would not have this:

Quite possibly the most advanced downhill race bike on the planet. 40 lbs out of the box, 240mm (9.6") of sweet, bottomless and super plush travel/ long, low and mean and able to handle anything you throw it down!
So one more thing to be thankful for today..

Downhill, dark, loamy soil and epic singletrack full of rocks and roots and drops!

only a matter of time

Hey all, been a while. Working everything out here at Lunch Box Labs and getting ready to get the CNC machines rolling. The numbers are crunched and the computers are programed. We will have some actual images of the Wakazashi SS and the Katana here real soon. I know you all have been patient with us and it takes time to start a (re)evolution, especially one like what we are doing. Now I know there are other companies out there doing a floating shock and using fancy names and terms and some have huge marketing budgets and lots of hype, but they don't have what we have: love.
yeah, love of our sport and supporters. Over 20 years rolling duce-six and here it is time to show what racing is all about. Not just winning, not just the technology, not the hard work or the training. Not the preparation, tire pressure...
It is the trip to the venue, the stopping to fill the tank in some run down 3-leg dog town, it is the smell of the crisp air at 6AM on race day after a night of not sleeping. It is that first sip of bad coffee you paid too much for...
Racing is the experience, the bright green leaves in the summer, the smell of fresh dust or deep, dark soil, the "competition" you hang out with each weekend as you develop life-long friends. The warm beer and cold coffee, the faces in the truck stops and all night diners, the camp stove explosions and the can of beans you are left to clean up off your tailgate at 10 PM the night before your "perfect run."
Racing is all this and so much more.
This is the experience and joy One Ghost Industries is going to bring to you. It isn't about the bikes or the CNC this or high speed compression that. It is friendship, brother and sisterhood. Sharing scars, tattoos, beer and inner tubes. Meeting your "Johnny T" for the first time or finally beating him. Racing is life and many times we do get caught up in the techno babble of it all and we don't stop to look around the pits and take it all in. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose, sometimes you flat, sometimes you get to stand on the box but you never, ever give up.
I have had that lesson handed to me too many times to count and this...One Ghost Industries.. is my way of teaching that lesson to all of you; Never give up, stop and listen, and most importantly....
"Flow like water, my friend."

Unofficial Pacific Northwest Single Slalom Championships of the Universe (and cookout)

HAHA, yeah, no joke. Gonna get up hella early, get the bbq seasoned up, the cold ones frosting, the mugs in the freezer and veggies marinading. Oh yeah, and getting the single slalom track in order. We are celebrating the 4th of July in a big way: with the Unofficial Pacific Northwest Single Slalom Championships of the Universe (and cookout). Hitting up the Lunchbox Labs single slalom track and fireing up the new bbq (if I can buy one! We may be digging holes in the ground and setting it on fire).
rules for racing are simple. whoever can do the most laps without getting dizzy and stopping will be the winner. Easy enough.
racers will be going consecutivly, taking turns drinking cold ones and hitting laps while being chased by a pack of wild, rabid dogs (well, not too wild and only as rabid as aussie heelers can be while chasing bikes) while the tight reggae tunes blast the air waves.
Sponsord by One Ghost Industries, Bike Gallery and Azonic. The turnout looks to be a deep seeded one with some fierce competition lined up. Winning prize is TBD still but knowing big D, it'll be pretty epic.
stay posted for pics.

end of transmission.

What's Next?!?

Oh man, check this bit of news out...
OK, those loyal followers know that our G4 tower bit the dust a while back. Well not our only other computer decided it wanted to take swimming lessons from Ghost and, well, yeah. Computers and water do not mix.
lost everything, no survivors. lost bike plans, drawings, web sites, addresses, e-mails, very important stuff to say the least.
I was able to pick up a used G4 powerbook (circa 2002) from craigslist here in Portland so it will have to do. At least it can get me onto the wireless network and able to update the blog page and get to e-mails. I was successfully able to get the hard drive out of the old tower and rig it to be a external drive so I was abble to get some of the information off it so looks like not all hope is lost. Just a very, very large setback.

We are still activly seeking investors for our little company. monitary donations and stock options to buy into the future of downhill racing are open to most of the public. for a minimum investment of $100 we can garantuee a ROI of at least 50% within 3 years and with a minimum investment of $2000 we can give you an ROI of a Katana frame within the next 6 months or a 50% cash return within 3 years. If interested, please contact us ASAP: info@oneghost.com

thanks to all of you who contunue to support our dream and vision.
D.

Super D anyone?

Project NEXT for LBL and the OG crew... a Super D bike with 6" travel. full length seat tube, front derailuer friendly, designed to use the Fox 36 Talas fork and DHX Air rear shock, 135mm rear, standard dropout with 73mm bottom bracket, 1.5 steer tube, low and long geometry. we are working on bringing it to life. In this ever evolving world of long travel "trail bikes" and the increasing popularity of longer, endurance downhill type events the need for a specific weapon if emerging and evolving from its "freeride" cousins.
For Super D you need more than a "trail bike" less than a "freeride" bike and by all means not a XC or DH bike! There are a very small hand full of vehicles out there that come close and here is out foray into this nitch market (and one I have a personal affinity for!)

I dub thee.....Project LONGBOW. Light, fast, nimble, Moto*GP floating suspension system, 6" travel, 3 sizes (S/M/L).
Colors still in the works. Maybe brown, maybe polished, maybe green, maybe black...who knows. Open to suggestions and comments. Projected US retail price for a frame kit is $2499.99 (frame/rear shock/extra hangers/t-shirt/decal pack/1lb bag custom roasted coffee).

One Ghost Industries... The Future of Downhill. NOW.
